it seems to me the author’s relationship problems with Henry were less to do with a exuality and more to do with jealousy & insecurity, culminating in the sabotaging (and ultimate failure of the relationship).

aces aren’t relationship dumb, so that she seems content to blame her insecurities on being ace or not understanding sexual attraction comes off as insulting to me.

I’m really starting to lose my patience with this book.

I’m this fucking close to just quitting & DNF’ing. I’m trying so hard to enjoy this story, but the epithets, poor punctuation, and other things are irritating the ever loving piss out of me.

poor Omar, being reduced to “the Indian man”. your characters have names—stop identifying them with epithets.

how many times can you use “the young man,” or some variation thereof in a single chapter? honestly, I don’t know. I lost count. but good fucking christ, lose the goddamn epithets.
