Not liking this book so far.
Too many other good books to read so I'm quitting this one.
I seldom do this.

I decided to go back to reading this on my Kobo. The book itself is way too big and heavy.

I don't know if I'll ever get through this monstrosity!!

This is one heck of a LONG book. It's also very strange. I didn't understand what was going on and had to look up some reviews online. The author is giving us 4 different stories about the same family. Each deals with the same characters, but their lives are very different. Since I'm reading it on my Kobo, I find it difficult to look back and remind myself which story I'm continuing with.

This is a very interested audiobook!
I am learning a great deal about the Church of Latter Day Saints, Brigham Young and the entire Mormon religion.
It is also a very unusually set up book. There is a current story, excerpts from the original 19th Wife book written by Brigham Young's 19th wife who fought against polygamy, and then readings from actual articles that have been part of someone's research paper.

It's hard to imagine living through any war. This account is so full of fate and chance happenings. I bet that was common. Regardless I am appreciative of Edith for finally sharing her courageous life. What a remarkable woman! It certainly makes me thankful for my life.

Will this book ever end!!! What a long, but captivating story.

This is a bit of a depressing story. I can't understand how a family can be this way. Don't they talk to each other? I must remember though that it took place in the 1970's so that could explain the lack of communication.

Having trouble with this one. Not sure I'll finish it.

Still working on listening to the end of this book. I want to know how his motorcycle trip ends, but am tired and way over my head with the rest of it.

Still listening to this book on my Ipod. It's sometimes a little heavy, but I do want to get to the end.

This is one weird book!
I'm not sure if the author is writing with 'tongue in cheek' or not.

I had to return this to the library without finishing it. I was struggling though and didn't really mind giving it up. Maybe I'll try again.

3/4 of way through this book. I doubt I would recommend it to anyone. Not what I expected. Why do I feel OBLIGATED to finish it?
