Well, we knew that plot twist was coming.

Okay, I'm enjoying the plot. But, seriously, why do the cyborgs blush and shiver and eat and drink and sleep and age? What was the point in creating a machine race instead of just making them, say, fae, when they see themselves as superior to humans but still mimic their habits, routines, customs, societal norms, and political structure? They're not robotic or logical in any way and that is bumming me out!

Should I DNF? I do not care about this at all. lol The timeline about the Terminator uprising in the beginning had me so hyped but there is nothing remotely robotic/machinelike about the automatons. They eat people food and sleep in beds, for chrissake. And the princess robot is so derpy. These androids do absolutely nothing efficiently. The plot would be so good if they'd just act right! 😫

Hrm... What's the point in making them robots if they wanna pretend to be human to the point of eating food?

This is okay so far. This is the third book with this plot I've picked up and none of them have hooked me. This one's just making me sad.

I'm going to DNF. I have no desire to go back to this story. The prologue was directly ripped from Willow. Then the first main character introduced is an underage girl who attends a magical school from which she cannot graduate unless she's a virgin, so some jealous school bullies decide to rape her. In 2026 I don't need to be reading this and I'm sick and tired of men writing it. PERIOT.

Does this author just like to write torture porn about queer women? Is that all he does? This is 2/2 unless this one miraculously ends differently from The Caretaker. Like what is the point.

There is SO MUCH going on (identity theft, a terminal diagnosis, a cult) and all anybody cares about is how hot the cop is. 😂 Ladies, calm down and focus!

I find this guy's books very upsetting and stressful. 😫

Yeah, yeah, I know. I used to wonder if I had adult-onset ADD but now I'm finding out it's a symptom of menopause...this reading a hundred books at once, starting new ones when I'm enjoying the ones I'm already reading.
