I’m not really feeling this book. Had to go back 2 hours and restart.
I do like there are Divergent appearing people, yet still have a mutation. That’s interesting. Maybe why Tobias was able to be in the simulation so long where Tris was willing to get herself killed to see if it would snap him out of it. Yet Tris…. She always could tell so suddenly. Was she ever under that hard?

Dad is dead; so wife thinks. Son wants to know. With the help of gods he will journey to find his dad’s bones or dad alive. Currently suitors are filling the rooms of his home. Waiting for wife to take on a husband. They’re taking advantage of the situation; slaughtering their meat, drinking and eating all Dad’s goods. Mom says she’ll marry when her loom project is finished. She unravels it in the night.

Four appears to be divergent but actually isn’t. The correct genetic components but not healed genes like Tris. His genetic anomaly allows him to be awake during simulations.

The word incredulous. It’s like the year our tv shows got overtaken with a musical episode or 2. If I could kill a word It’s only been used one but after 2-3 previous books “incredulous” was used 20-50x I’m over it.

Saying once divergent population grows, to come out of the walls and help us. We lost control of humanity. This was like a reset, in the walls. She’s a descendent of Tris. Grandma?

Poison room simulation before control room.She fights herself.wheres Marcus? He went through the room after. Is he divergent? Tris is 2nd gen. Meaning Marcus, Tory, her parents, Janine are all 1st gen (1st generation placed within these walls?).I suspect Marcus got to the files before they were destroyed. He seems like he could be the new dictator. Tory kills Janine. Tris tries to stop it.

Peter saved her. He’s always with who will benefit him. He owed tris, he doesn’t like owing anyone; has to be even.

Tris is 16. Four is a couple or few years older? So was she 15 when she first joined the faction?
Four planned in being factionless until he met Tris. Old dauntless = factionless or dead.
Eric was killed finally. Four, Tory and the other are dauntless leaders. Tris was suppose to be one but turned it down so Four could be in power (strategy). They all had gun to Eric. Eric wanted Four to do it.

Quite different. Divergents are everywhere. Will was one of her best friends, she had to kill him. Movie I believe that was her bully? She stabs Eric in the neck, do good faction treated him. Eugene is divergent. He’s the rat? Dauntless are split: those hunting down divergents, those who came downstairs to save everyone.

Mom is divergent too. Fours dad, four, Caleb(?) tris’ brother, Tris, and I think Peter (the guy who tried to kill her) are what remain and are going for safety. A guard was divergent and allowed them to go. Book Four, meh.

Molly and drew are cut. Molly fed lies about her dad. drew ran away while she was being thrown over the wall. They are now factionless. Four nickname? Because he only has 4 fears in sim. I think it’s around 15.

Four is actually chatty. He says Stiff, yet (movie) they are not to talk about their old factions. I love what they did in the cafeteria scene (movie). Book is better for the story and additional details, but Four is better in movie. Did someone not make the train and become factionless? Book someone fell to their death too getting off train.

It got my attention 50% of the way through. Died down completely. Almost done with the book and it finally got more entertaining. I’m so confused why this book is so popular. Mom is dead. Dad unknown, mom was a huss. Aunt? The queen. A lot of pages for 15 pages of interest

Peony is her sister, but a human? Eh? Still hard time following it. Once lunar magic was mentioned I got excited some action was about to start but meh :/ it’s still building up.

Queen is the same. She will destroy Cinder

She’s got magic (or magicless, a shell). Reason why she’s immune to the disease. Her parents may have lost their life bringing her to this world. Sacrifice to save their child.
It took too long to pick up. But it is now. Only kept going due to me falling asleep to this audiobook.

Audiobook? No. Hate narrator. Move to my physical copy; see if it makes it better

Why was tom not punished? Moneyyyy. Licking floors and beating as punishment? Abusive. If Leah, a celebrity, gets this treatment- think of those who are not wealthy and well known.
