These characters are confused…being “acquitted”, being “set free by a jury”, and being “out on bail” are NOT the same things. So, I want to know…which is it? Also, did TC die? Because at the end of book one he was in or going to jail…please tell me at least this inconsistency doesn’t come back to bite me. Ugh!😩

Wth is up with chapters 24…seriously, it was almost enough to DNF the whole book. Girl, who the f cares that the ex’s new wife is still planning a shower…why do you follow her? Also, why are you still talking to your ex?

What the heck! Gurl! Get a freaking back bone and establish some boundaries.

Wtf just happened? Page 177-178 are absolutely bonkers….is the author wrestling with her “hereness”…ummm, I thought this was fiction?

Leaving Part 2 for tomorrow, but…wow! I haven’t been this emotionally wrecked by a book in a long time.

Oof…this one has been surprising difficult to get though. The book is marvelous and the writing is what I’ve come to expect from Hannah…absolutely amazing! I’m just in a head state and I’m finding it difficult to process all of my emotions surrounding the book.

It’s been a long time since I was in SF, and arguably, not during the 1950s, but I don’t remember being able to go west over the Golden Gate Bridge…unless you have a boat or wings. Also, the only way the water would be on the “right” if SF is “behind” you is if you are traveling south…I’m confused.

So names are less confusing now, but then there seem to be fewer people around…for a while it was like watching a new intern class on Grey’s. 😂

Like many regency books this one has entirely too many characters who use various names. Sometimes it’s first names, sometimes last, and then heaven for it they are part of peerage because then they use a title. I understand the need for minor characters, but this, so far, feels more like a character drama than anything else.
