Seriously, though, this book needed a better editor. Reads like a nice first draft.

I want to love this, but it's so repetitive that I'm afraid I'm a bit bored. I also wish the MCs would actually have some meaningful conversations and scenes together!

I can't remember the last time I DNFed a book, but if this wouldn't be for book club, I would 100% DNF it! I can't say there's something wrong with it, but I am just so bored. I really don't care about all the mundane things they do and think, all the little side-"quests" where we meet more quirky characters!

Me: Can we please stop focusing on characters' thoughts and musings?
Book: Sure, here's a scientific article a character is reading, with someone else's thoughts about species.

I completely missed the fact that this contains actual time travel when it was picked for book club 🤣 I was so confused when the MC mentioned going back in time to the 70s to witness a crime.

How have three different people suck up on her already?!

I don't understand the mechanics of this time travel at all. Am I just not getting it, or does it not make sense?

Was I checking UK and US Netgalley every day to see if this was added? Absolutely. Did I scream when I got the approval email? You bet!

I think I would buy into this more if she'd genuinely known him. Acting like she knows him better than he knows himself after spending 4-5 days with his younger self? I'm sure she'll be right and "save" him, but just feels so unearned.
