Das ist ehrlich bescheuert - das gesamte Buch über fährt die Protagonistin ständig betrunken Auto, sodass man sich fragt, ob das narrative Absicht ist und auch mal zu etwas führt (und sie hatte auch schon einen Unfall dabei!), und jetzt gibt es hier ungelogen einen Dialog, in dem sie ernsthaft "wissen will": "Warum fährt er überhaupt, wenn er getrunken hat?" - und der Gesprächspartner das noch rechtfertigt??

I wanted to get an impression if this book, and I am still interested in it, but I currently cannot find the time or patience for the meandering narration. If it wins the Booker prize, I will definitely get back to it.

This is a really well-done book.

"Matchbox sign" is still my favorite horrifying horror story I have ever read.

Fascinating! And as a lay person in science and history I'm grateful for the level of explanation that the author goes for.

I am enjoying this way more than I expected.

While reading this book, I am reminding myself that jealousy is really just pain because you're missing something that other people have. I am jealous of these characters, and I would really like a relationship this real and honest one day.

This book is brilliant.

I am loving this book. It's so immersive, and although it's not perfect and little things keep throwing me off (...that is not how people wrote in the 1600s....), I want to keep reading and I'm enjoying it more than I have enjoyed any books for a while.
