Another iconic line, if only because Edward Cullen agreed with it... I am seeing that this will be a tragic tale to rival Romeo and Juliet and am both extremely excited for how much I know I will relate to Catherine and Heathcliff's depth of love, as someone with a soulmate myself, and terrified of the pain and hours of sobbing I am surely about to experience.

Well that was sweet... Now I'm REALLY hoping for a Nessie book with a Jacob/Nahuel love triangle

I like Nessie, she's sweet 🥰 I'm excited to see all the new vampires about to come and also to see how the mystery of Alice's plan will be handled in the book.

I'm loving this book so far - I love Catherine, I don't find her irritating at all! I actually think the narrator is a bit more annoying.

The iconic quote almost made me cry - "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." 💗 I was hoping she would choose Edgar until that passage, but now I'm convinced it's true love! I didn't even know it was from this book!

Well, Jacob's part was... not bad. Although it cut out right at the part I most wanted to hear! That is one big flaw in this book it seems - for each scene the POV I am most interested in is not the one I get.

But his mind was not as boring as I though it was going to be. Still, the return to Bella - yay! I loved the description of her new senses. Can't wait to read more!

Part One was great, although I wish the sex was more on page, like come on, we've been waiting three books for this!

Part Two... I don't know. I don't love the Jacob narration so far. I can't wait to get back to Bella. I wish I could hear her thoughts through all this. I feel like Edward 😂

Still, although I love Jacob, him being 30% of this book might knock it down to four stars.

Oh my God, I love the wedding preparations! I'd read a slice of life with these people if Bella was human in it, it makes it so fun!

I was disappointed when I realized what I'd been most looking forward to reading about, Bella's pregnancy and labour, would be from Jacob's point of view. But, I'm keeping an open mind - maybe it will still be good!

Still, Bella's inner monologue is one of my favourtie things about this series! I'll miss her 😭

I actually kind of like that we don't get to see all the battles that are in the movie, it makes it more of a romance novel, we don't need so much action.

Finally, I am on to the book I've been waiting for all along, my favourite part, Breaking Dawn!

I like that there's some deliberation on Bella's part about being turned. I want her to get what she wants in the end but it's interesting to read her flip-flop about it a bit.

Also the wolves are so much cooler, Edward's the guy for her but I'd pick a wolf myself any day 🌙

I'm Team Book!Edward and Team Movie!Jacob, but the chapter of Quileute was masterfully done in this book! I felt that I was transported! I forgot we were in the modern day.

I'm also fascinated to see how Leah's transformation will be handled... 🐺

This little book is quite sad... I can't help but feel sorry for the simpler animals that can't make arguments against the pigs although they'd like to, because they just can't seem to make a good enough argument. And yet, they know something is wrong about all this.

I wonder what the conclusion will be. It seems obvious that Napoleon has to meet his end, but will the humans take back the farm?

As I thought, Jake doesn't have nearly as much charm without Taylor Laurent to play him, even as a werewolf 😔 Edward definitely wins in the books, I can't wait until he's back.

Also, poor Emily! I will never get over that, and neither will Sam 😭

Okay, I was dreading this book because I knew it would contain little to no Edward but I love it so far!

I think Bella's thoughts are actually a really good representation of what it feels like to be broken up with when you're still in love and the depression is depicted perfectly, I love her descriptions of feeling numb.

Jacob, my favourite in the movies, is pretty dry here though, so far. Not much to him.

This story is way more fun when you get to be inside Bella's mind and see what she's thinking. She's already so obsessed with Edward I love her!!! Shameless queen 👑

Like there is no agency here. We're fully on board with whatever this guy wants, up to and including murder! I get the vibe, understandable. I actually love her as a protagonist.

Back to this book after a break and still love it!

I'm hoping Ellie will turn out to not have evil in her, or at least that she can remove it from herself. We have far too many descent into evil and FMC was stronger than she ever knew plotlines, and it was really refreshing to just have a normal girl for once. She is turning out to be the Chosen One, but maybe at least she can be a good one!

Okay, I have been Team Jacob all my life from the movies but who was gonna tell me book-Edward is NOT the same as movie Edward???

Like this guy is fun! He laughs and teases and he's confident. Movie-Edward honestly just looks sad the entire time, not MMC material if you ask me.

With this new development and no Taylor Lautner before my eyes I might just switch teams, books only of course 🩸🦇

I love Haymitch as a character! Katniss thinks they are alike, and they are later when he becomes jaded and bitter, but as a teen he is actually so much like Peeta, charismatic and protective!

Maysilee finally reunited with him which is great because I'm fascinated by her and want to see more of her in the Games! Also, RIP Ampert, you will be missed... That was probably the worst death of the entire series 😭

This book is pretty good so far - I like it less than TBOSAS, but more than the original trilogy. Maybe I like having a male POV character 🤔

It's fun to get to be inside Haymitch's head, and I love how protective he is of all the girls and younger tributes. I love Maysilee's character, Effie's cameo, and all the easter eggs connecting to the other books in the series.

Also, poor Beete! 😭

I just sat for 10 straight hours. I couldn't stop reading.

I think I'm so invested in Snow's story and journey that I'm gonna have to bring the original trilogy down from 5 stars each to 4 stars each, because the hold this book has on me is not comparable to the others.

It deserves to be set apart. I guess Snow lands on top.

Chapter Nine... I haven't read something so horrible in a long time. I feel so bad for the prisoner woman and her mate.

I won't be able to stop thinking about it for a long, long time.

I'm so scared to see how Rain will react to the news of Ellie's parentage... I hope it doesn't put too much strain on their relationship because their closeness and obsession with each other is the best part of this book!

I can't wait until they get married 🌹

I love how this book picked up literally hours after the events of the first book! It's a bit slower right now what with all the plot (if it's not clear I'm here for the romance and the spice!), but I think it will improve.

I'm a bit worried that my girl Ellie will get into some dark stuff in this one... Hopefully it won't affect their mate-bond.

Most importantly Rain is the best MMC I've read in a while, swoon!

I love this book... At the beginning I really didn't think I'd like it but now 8 hours later here I am.

Came for the Pagan/Spring Court/Fire Night vibes, stayed for the way these Fey treasure their women. Swoon. Men of 2025 could learn so much.

Also I know this is gonna change, but I'm so glad nothing dramatic is happening yet! Courting instead of world-ending danger? A thousand times yes! 💕
