Quite the page turner

Such a good book!!

Still very impressed with Pamela's faith in the Lord and trusting His providence. Based on a real life incident.

After my last entry I decided I would read up on this book from Goodreads descriptions and reviews. Soooo different then the library's description. (LIBRARY'S- Based on actual events, Pamela is the story of a young girl who goes to work in a private residence and finds herself pursued by her employer's son. Pamela's struggles to decide how to respond to her would-be seducer and to determine her place in society.")

So far I am really liking this book. I am impressed with the faith of Pamela. (Peace keeper, pray for your enemies, etc)

Reels you right in from the start!

Just so much writing with this book, I can't even.......
Theology......
1 Timothy 2:11-12, 3:2 - implication clearly states women are not to be preachers.
Titus 1:5-9 same thing, (wife) clearly pastors are the position for men.

I will finish this book to give it a fair shake, HOWEVER, are we now promoting swearing as well?? Where is our witness for Christ, our examples? The introduction and a prayer example is including cussing??

I was really looking forward to reading this. The introduction is VERY DISAPPOINTING! Tongues as understood by the charismatic Church, does not exist. Acts 2:4-5
Are we promoting light or darkness? It's not phobia it's calling sin what it is, sin. Come to Church and LET the Holy Spirit make changes in you. Do you DESIRE to please the LORD? Then you will WANT to become more like Christ and obey.
