A fascinating insight into the challenges of producing the 4 operas that make up The Ring cycle in one year. Opera Australia have faced similar challenges witg their 2013-16 and 2023 ring cycles, the latter delayed several years because of the pandemic
It's also fascinating to see how primitive things were in the mid 80s with very analogue controls for stage equipment. The book also dispelled some Solti myths.

A good read. I must say I suspected that the person exposed was in fact the mastermind behind the crimes many chapters before he was exposed in a monkey trap. This is a long book, at 538 pages, but it's always interesting, especially the last 20-30 pages.

Interesting book. A good way to keep the Swedish vocabulary fresh. Leif G W Persson is good at using a broad vocabulary

Great book, quite prescient given it was written before ChatGPT came along and started the AI boom
