For a story I think I like, the narrative pace is really slow. Didn’t finish it before book club met, but since it is a re-read I don’t feel bad.

I don’t hate it. I am actually following the plot. I like the classical mythology references. I think listening to it is the right choice.

Meh. Hoping it will grow on me.
Not my usual fare. Listening to it for a book club. Sometimes growing as a reader means exploring what you wouldn’t pick for yourself. I hope it is a long time until I have to do this again.

The 2025 intro by Jeanette Winterson has my mind spinning with possibilities and parallels. It has been at least a decade since the last time I read it, and with the explosion of AI, I am excited to discover new insights.

I always claim I am not a sci fi fan, and then I read Andy Weir and forget. Maybe I just need to fess up and say I am an Andy Weir fan.

I am enjoying it much more than I thought I would. The language is engaging and elegant. I haven’t enjoyed nonfiction this much in a very long time.

I see the creative aspects of the novel. I am n still not sure if it is for me though. I started it while on a flight and didn’t have a back up option. If I had another book, I probably would have put this one down after a few chapters.

This one lags a little in the middle, but as I am reading the final chapters the pace is picking up again. Glad I didn’t put it down.

Cliff hanger much?

One of my favorite authors—- different protagonist for her, a teenager. I am intrigued.
