The story is fun, but the narrator is so annoying! He sounds like he’s 60, at a time when Vlad is in his 20s. And his voice for Loiosh is repulsive; high and nasal and louder than the rest of the narration. Still, I’m enjoying it for bedtime stories.

Superb but old. John Hockenberry as paraplegic going off-road in the Middle East on a donkey is quite extraordinary.

I think this book is extremely valuable, but I have to give it up for now. I can only read via audiobook, and this book has extremely graphic firsthand reports of horrible violence.

I understand that the people who experienced this violence were unable to flee from it in this way. I plan to continue reading about indigenous, resistance, and power during the settler colonization invasion of America.

I’m fascinated by all the historical and personal shenanigans. It’s almost character driven, with many examples of Bayesian analysis in context. A great complement to Bernoulli’s Fallacy… but now I’d like to read something from the frequentists.

So good on audiobook— read by the senator himself.

If you love someone who goes camping or hiking frequently, and you tend to be anxious, you definitely should NOT read this book. It’s *way* too compelling.
If you _are_ someone who goes hiking or camping frequently, you definitely SHOULD read this book, and use it to drive you to prepare thoroughly for every single time you step away from the trailhead.

I’m loving this book so far, but it’s too confusing for me for audiobook format. I’m going to wait to read until I can combine the audiobook with visual-reading book.
