I’ve only read 50 pages but I already know this book will be in my top-3 for the year. Monbiot really is a remarkable writer. Hard-hitting, fact-based, yet not the least dry and boring.

Wow! I’ve read lots of books about neoliberalism, but always felt vaguely unsatisfied with them, individually and as a whole, without being able to say exactly why. This book is shaping up to what I’ve always wanted to read on the topic. Mirowski is cool as a cucumber…
