Took a week off from running post marathon so have been slacking on my audiobook time… but we back!
Honestly this picked up around the 60% mark and now is very interesting unfolding the plot and background history/lore. Hooked

Is bad that I’m more interested in the interlude snippets than I am in the actual story that’s present day?

Meh so far

I feel like… the “last battle” was super anticlimactic… at least they are giving us a wrap up of EVERYONE’S story

Feeling like a Sarah J Maas book with literally everything happening in the last quarter of the last book

Okay, this has gotten better

It’s wild how much Vogel is sounding like a certain “leader” and how the Magedom, who is blindly following him, sounds like a certain country filled with mindless individuals

Gwyn I like. Elloren I definitely still don’t.

So enjoying these new characters… but like is Elloren ever going to make an appearance, or have we decided she is just useless and there’s no point to mention her again?

1) Alder’s story seems very intriguing… where has she been this whole time?!
2) idk how I feel about not only different perspectives for each chapter… but now we are jumping back and forth through time?
3) Elloren is still useless

So I like how the book is grabbing multiple viewpoints at the same moment in time as these big events… but for the love of the Ancient One… Elloren is so beyond useless. She finally has a moment to truly shine… and she literally drops the “ball” (ball being used instead of what she actually does). Like literally. She makes me want her to be forcibly removed from the story. Replace her with a new protagonist
