I mean, the title kind of gives the plot away but whatever! I think the writing is pretty darn good for the genre and I’m entertained! It’s November…my dog is happy i have motivation for longer cold and dark evening walks!

So far I am quite enthralled (and notably am going “all in” on the thrillers deep into this calendar year lol) Hope it sticks the landing.

if you can get past the premise of a recently bereaved therapist who abandons her patients to “investigate a crime” in a place she has no business doing so (& where at the get go she has already made up her mind who the perpetrator is) - this has been fun. Sharks however have now been jumped, Marianna is clearly unreliable and the psychobabble is off the charts. It’s nonsense. And yet entertaining!

Omg is THIS a romance toooooo? I gotta stop with these romances disguised as apocalyptic thrillers !!!!

It’s early but I’m already concerned about these birds and sharks being jumped.

Well, I was almost in Alaska recently so of course came across this book being marketed. Gosh, I read Into the Wild in the late 1990s…I feel like
I understood the subtext. Not sure I need to revisit that part of the story. What appealed to me was of course the impulse to live wild and free. But here I am. Will see how much trauma I can handle. The news these days is trauma enough!

Well, I’m now deeply invested!!!!
