I hate saying it but I’m bored and ready to call this one read. It’s just extremely surface level.

It’s a cute, fluffy, smutty, easy read. If you’ve seen the show you’ve seen this entire book. The pacing is crazy fast. Personally wish there was depth and a sense of tension anywhere, but that’s a personal taste. Still enjoyable.

This is really interesting but my attention is starting to wander just because we are neck-deep in court details and intricacies so it feels like it’s dragging, and a bit repetitive.

This sounds remarkably like today. How irritating (good listen so far. Just maddening nothing has changed).

This is hard to get through as the narrator’s family is absolutely fucking infuriating and dumb and abusive. The narrator says this book is not a critique on religion or about religion, and yet it’s religion that justifies most of the abuse.

Alright…this is not adult fiction like I initially thought. It’s firmly a YA “not like other girls” story but with a male MC. I’m also tired of schools.

The writing is still good and I keep hoping something happens. The world is fascinating, but the players are all pretty flat and experts in something.

The writing is great and it’s interesting but it’s pretty slow so far.

Hard to engage with this when you repeat every day, so the events are repetitive, and the main character jumps from person to person (often repetitively and back in time) so most of the cast are just vehicles for a MC who has no memory pre-book, so he is also fairly surface level. The person we have to save is just kinda there. Writing is great. But I’m struggling to care.

Okay but this audiobook is so much fun. Very Magnus Archives.
