So far one brief dragon, an angsty John Stu, nonstop fighting, “we deserve to be here” colonization, and an incredible dump of character names with no distinct personalities. I did discover this was first self published, and maybe didn’t get plot or scene revisions. I also didn’t realize this is meant to be African fantasy, which I’d be all over, but there’s zero sense of culture to make that connection.
