On hold because I started reading something different for a book club. Might be worth completely restarting afterwards because I liked the opening chapters a lot.

Mr. Harrigan's phone
Great story with the right amount of King creepyness. Both Mr. Harrigan and Craig felt very realistic as characters, the events ... Not so much, just the way I like King to write.

Setting this aside for now. I'm not sure what I think about it yet (has anything actually happened yet, is it going to?), but I'm definitely too tired and unfocused for these long sentences and the constant skipping of viewpoint to viewpoint.
I'm not giving up on it yet, maybe I'll revisit during a vacation.

Decided to not finish this book...

Getting slightly annoyed by the main character by now. Ok, I get it, she's shy, insecure and naïve. But come on, if you're being treated the way she is by a servant, you should be able to talk about that to the man you love, no? Especially if that man has always been nice to you and you've seen him scold said servant before?
I'm quite sure it would spare her a lot of anguish...

Liking Rebecca at this stage is more about disliking Mrs Van Hopper. Liking the book is about the beautiful language.
