This book continues to read like a YA. Partly because of the mcs ages but also because of the mentality. Maybe I’m jaded but love? At 16? Please.

Ugh. Why does the mcs have to be 16 for all of half the book?! The fmc is such an idiot I wanted to dnf at 20% then again at 40%.

Dnf 69% fmc is an idiot and keeps losing her spine. Fmc is an annoying alpha male who can’t stop talking about how alpha he is 🥱

Dnf 38%. I hate a miscommunication trope and the fmc is annoying

Sigh. Tempted to not finish at 70%. Everyone is too sickly obsessed and sweet. It’s not for me.

DNF 53% the fmc annoyingly repeats herself in the book, acknowledges it and still does it again. Bored of it all.

This is such an odd book to write with a teenager. There was no need for her to be underage but even having her be 18,19,20 etc would have been more appealing and surely hitting more of the target demographic.

That’s it? That’s the big must for the 3? I’m done with this series. All three of them chucking round I love yous when nothing has happened for their relationship to progress rather than sex. I’m done with this series. If anyone wants to read something similar but way better than this, Darkmore Penitentiary is the go.

I find it odd how many rh novels there are with them high school. The dialogue feel is juvenile and is acknowledged by the fmc. The jumps from chapter to chapter is also a bit erratic and the whole book was rather short. Despite it all, I am curious as to what is going on between the mcs and will try the second book.

A high schooler? Okay she’s 19 in high school and doing all this? Sorry but it’s all a bit unrealistic and the monologue and inner monologue is so juvenile. She’s assaulted and does nothing then a stranger touches her without consent and she does nothing because he is attractive? Just no.

How are we third book in and diem is still useless and completely contradictory?! Still stupidly wishing for things rather than making it happen. Still crying about someone dying who was killed in self defense!!!

This was hard to get through. Oraya is so contradictory, it makes for a frustrating read. I’m sick of reading “there she is”, repeated like a broken tune.
