Hmm I think I have a bone to pick with RF KUANG regarding Niang’s death. I do not recall him having an inkling admiration towards Niang. I mean I get it it’s sad going to war against friends but when Rin emphasized the fact that Kitay was devastated when he killed Niang was because the former liked the latter (and not just bc he just killed a classmate) this part kind of threw me off.

This book had not surprised me so much until Niang 🙊🙊🙊

To be honest, I am getting impatient with Rin being unable to call the fire. I know there is reason for this. RF Kuang wrote it this way so that we can feel what everyone, especially Vaisra, felt. But, really! It’s becoming annoying. (Still good writing because I just know this was intentional)
