I wanted to love this but so far it feels like Tiktok Romantasy (tm) wearing a Catholic Aesthetics cloak. Frances Hardinge did it better, just saying.

So the editing could have been tighter in places and there was some head-hopping I wasn't sure was intentional, but overall it was sooo good, it doesn't really matter. Review to come!

This book is still so unbelievably good.

What a strange reading experience. The first half of the novel feels more vastly literary than the second.

So the love story...actually isn't all that great. It's just held up by how good the prose is.
