I am so happy right now.

I always get stressed out when there's a map because I'm bad at directions.

I hate Tolly's narration almost as much as I hate his name being Tolly.

Listening to the audiobook and I love this speaker.

The Murder Squad books usually end with the detectives emotionally traumatized in one way or another and I have...just the worst feeling about this one.

Can't wait to read another beautifully written book with an ending that makes me want to throw my phone at the wall!!

81 pages in and so far NO WHALE.

Started listening to this audiobook because I enjoy Riley Sager but oh my god it's just stuffed with movie references so far. The level of pretentiousness is giving Letterboxd vibes.

Every single time I read a book with a murder I spend the whole time thinking every character is guilty and make shocked pikachu face at whichever one happens to be the right one.

I've checked this book out of my library half a dozen times already and keep forgetting to read it so I WILL DO IT NOW. RIGHT NOW.

I'm really enjoying this so far, but I forget how long it takes me to read through King novels. Also, something horrid happened to a character because they have no peripheral vision, and as a person WHO ALSO HAS NO PERIPHERAL VISION, I was alarmed.

My library app recommended this to me and so far I am intrigued!

I'm reading this book out loud to Joe and I keep cracking myself up with the hilarious voices I am choosing to use for everyone.

I love non-humans pretending to be human so much. I'd forgotten about Ax but now I am dying because Marco told him to "throw away" his paper coffee cup and Ax just fucking yeeted it at a RadioShack cashier's forehead.

I just started this book and my initial impression was: 1. This had better not be about Jesus and 2. I'm not stoked about the Potteresque trio of Reluctant Hero, Comic Relief with Poor Emotion Control, and Super Smart Girl.

But I'm a couple chapters in and it feels like Lord of the Flies with mutants??
