This book is so dull. I’m still waiting for something to actually happen. What is the point of this story? The writing is flat, the characters are one dimensional and predictable. And why has no one thought that the reason people die when they get that call is because they get that call? If death cast didn’t call, most deaths wouldn’t happen. Plot hole.

Halfway through, enjoying the story immensely so far. Much more powerful and moving than I imagined it would be. Yes it’s long, but I feel like it has given me so much time to get to know the characters and change my opinion on the kind of people they are more than once. A very deep, well written novel so far. I’m looking forward to the remaining 50%!
