Irma
Irma is starting Father and Son
While crocheting I’ve been listening to some Larry Brown audiobooks. The narrating by Tom
Stechschulte is just right.

Irma
Irma is on page 51 of 431 of River Without End: A Novel of the Suwannee
Page 51. I’m very disappointed in this historical fiction.
It’s talking about a fire ant in Florida. From everything I’ve read fire ants invaded Florida in the 1930s. And wouldn’t have been there in 1818. I really don’t like when an author assumes something. Why not just say any, not fire ant. What else is wrong, that I won’t know enough to check.

Otherwise, I was enjoying this book.

Irma is starting Late Migrations: A Natural History of Love and Loss
I am loving this book. I would never have thought of interweaving stories of childhood with present day nature observations. But it works so well that I think I want to do a journal of my own like this. Just for myself because I’m not a writer.

Irma is on page 52 of 338 of Driftwood Valley: A Woman Naturalist in the Northern Wilderness (Northwest Reprints (Paperback))
I only started reading this book a week ago. I’m only on page 52. But I’m savoring it a bit everyday. I’m just loving it. Theodora describes the land and flora and fauna and adds details of their wilderness experience in such detail it’s like I am there. I really miss camping, so this is the next best thing.
