A book to be savored.

While crocheting I’ve been listening to some Larry Brown audiobooks. The narrating by Tom
Stechschulte is just right.

Loving how she writes this book.

This book is so good. We’ll see what I think once I’m finished but with no ending.

Really enjoying this book.

Having a hard time settling down with a book. This one I must not be in the mood for. Will come back to it another day.

Page 51. I’m very disappointed in this historical fiction.
It’s talking about a fire ant in Florida. From everything I’ve read fire ants invaded Florida in the 1930s. And wouldn’t have been there in 1818. I really don’t like when an author assumes something. Why not just say any, not fire ant. What else is wrong, that I won’t know enough to check.

Otherwise, I was enjoying this book.

Can’t finish this.

I am loving this book. I would never have thought of interweaving stories of childhood with present day nature observations. But it works so well that I think I want to do a journal of my own like this. Just for myself because I’m not a writer.

I’m listening to this book a bit every day. Rick Bragg is such a great narrator.

I only started reading this book a week ago. I’m only on page 52. But I’m savoring it a bit everyday. I’m just loving it. Theodora describes the land and flora and fauna and adds details of their wilderness experience in such detail it’s like I am there. I really miss camping, so this is the next best thing.

Both, when they gave their hearts away, lost them for good.
