In defense of this book I just prefer a slow burn. And characters with personalities. A complete paragraphs. And a plot.

Does the line “the two had been friends ever since” need to follow the introduction of any character Persephone gets along with?

I know this is just a fantasy / wish fulfillment / spicy book but I wish Persephone had a personality. What’s her motivation? What makes her special? Why is Hades so instantly drawn to her? Give her something to work with other than the obliviousness and slinky dresses and getting into mishaps that are extremely avoidable that seem to define her entire personality.

…I’m sorry but she just walked through a wall, down a mountain, and decided to take a swim in the Styx for *checks notes* literally no reason. And we’re supposed to root for her?

I know the point of books like this is the spiciness and the drama but is it so much to ask for just a few chapters of character development / world building? And maybe a little more build up than “thy interacted for exactly two pages and now she is obsessed with him”? It doesn’t have to be a slow burn but maybe just a some burn?

She wanted to “demand a lesson in the anatomy of his body” Omg I hate this book so much already.
