I’m abandoning this for now. I really enjoyed the first part in Nee York but I’ve been trudging through an uninteresting and far too heavy with material section in Las Vegas for too long. Perhaps when I have less books I’m reading I’ll come back to it.

Putting on hold to read a library book but I may not come back to this. The main character is so unsympathetic I don't really care about her story.

For the third time in my life I've started this book. I promise this time I'm going to finish.

I figured for my 20th anniversary I'd finally read the wedding gift I got from my college professor.

I have to take a break from this one. The writing is beautiful but it's so hopeless and heavy with the weight of everything that could go wrong for someone I find myself avoiding reading it.

I am not connecting with this story or characters. If it weren't a book club book I would have put it aside by now. I have not looked forward to reading it and have let days slip by without any reading to avoid it. Hopefully things will pick up for me.

I've been trying to read this for a month or two, but I have to keep putting it down for book club or library books. I'd rather be reading this though.

I listened to this and now I'm waiting for it at the library in book form so I can reread passages and pause to contemplate properly.

I probably should have skimmed Insurgent before starting this. I'm a little fuzzy on the details.

Fun read with some great lines that made me smile.

Hosseini is a fan of the word protracted in this one.

Wait. Semple wrote for Arrested Development? If I weren't already enjoying this so much, that would have sold it even more to me.

Made it to the first epilogue.

Maybe not the best book to read while I'm home alone, but I'm enjoying the tinge of creepiness in the story.

Reading suggestion: Gone Girl or Dark Places by Gillian Flynn (I've read Sharp Objects)?

Book 12 out of 15 and it only took me a year to get there.

Taking a break to read A Separate Peace. I'm much more in the mood for a classic.

Finally got to the war. I need a break from this one.

It's about time I correct this oversight in my reading history. Reading with my daughter.

Sad to set my profile to "friends only" comments on my reviews, but now I'll no longer get in a pit in my stomach whenever I see in my notifications "XXX commented on your review."

Three books in a row I've rather enjoyed until the ending. Hope this breaks my 2013 trend.

Really enjoying this, but I've paused it to finish up some other reads. Can't wait to get back to it.
