I have two very long, eventless shifts a week at work and I'm determined to begin reading a long series during these slower times. I'm considering the following, but I tend to struggle committing to a long series. Which of the following remains engaging and well-written throughout?

-Wheel of Time
-Legend of Drizzt etc etc etc
-The Witcher (of which I've read the short stories ages ago)

Thoughts?

I talk a lot of shit about TV Jon but I can see now why people like this arc. Book Jon is just more interesting than TV Jon 🤷‍♀️

The audiobook pronunciation of some of the character names is fascinatingly different from the show. I just can't take Littlefinger seriously as a threat when they call him "Peh-Tire".

I know I've barely started but the characters feel much younger than they're stated to be so far 🤔

Okay, if you like modern mythology you should not pass up this book

I haven't watched Swarm, but I imagine this is what Swarm would be like as a book if it were about serial killers instead of pop idols.
