I love it when I start a book on a whim, feeling restless and not knowing what I want to read, and I’m immediately hooked by a story.

The author just YEETED me out of this story so hard by using the term “cliff notes” in a sentence. Girl, what do you mean “cliff notes”!? You don’t have cliff notes? You don’t have Clifton. K Hillegass in your universe?

Yes I did get the fancy new edition with the fancy sprayed edges after saying I wasn’t going to buy anymore books… but I already can’t put this down so I’ll say it was a good investment

I love reading books set in the country I’m visiting, and this was the closest thing I had to a book set in Denmark. Many of the flashback scenes are set in Copenhagen, so it’ll have to do as my holiday read!

Already obsessed… always feel like angels are an underrated mythological creature so I’m always happy to find a good story they feature prominently in <3

I feel a little bit emotional starting my last Poirot novel 🥲

I’m loving this, but because the protagonist is 15 and her internal monologue is fairly naive in the beginning, I incorrectly thought this was a YA book for a good few chapters at the start. It’s not and I’ve had to shut my book to take some breathes because some of it is HORRIFYING to me

I love that the dog is called Zephyr… but if the dog dies I will cry
