Lmao this author just read/watched Game of Thrones and decided to take John Snow's entire arch and make with YA with a gender-swap 🤣 Wren is clearly Locke's daughter, but when he died, his brother took her home as his illegitimate child 🤦‍♀️ and she grew up kinda spurned and now gets sent to "The Wall". minus 10 points for originality, girlie. 😅 but actually, I am kinda liking this so far.

I've come up with a fun drinking game for this book. Take a shot every time the author mentions an axe hanging at someone's belt. Then again, maybe don't, you'd end up with alcohol poisoning 😑 I swear it's like once every 2 pages AT LEAST. God, why is this book so highly rated???

I am not super loving this 😐 feels like such a "dude" book. Book club picked this out for book of the month, otherwise would've probably never read this on my own... only one of the POV characters is actually interesting, and text is peppered with many Norse words that you don't know what they mean and it's not explained and it's kind of annoying. hopefully it picks up. 😅

Ok so at least the writing is already better than my previous attempt at reading a popular spicy book, so there's that. But also, from the blurb on the back cover, I kinda thought that Hook was gonna be the same age as Peter? But he's only 26 lol. I mean I absolutely don't mind, I even prefer it, but it's kinda misleading. 🤣

I feel like I might regret this, but the idea of famous fairytale villains getting a story sounded like a good idea. Also the covers are pretty 😝
