Still here. At least stuff's happening now. But how big is their effin' steading?? I thought they lived in a hut! 🤣 also, Thorkell's death was predictable, but kinda sad since he was quite literally the only likeable character in the entire book 😒

I've come up with a fun drinking game for this book. Take a shot every time the author mentions an axe hanging at someone's belt. Then again, maybe don't, you'd end up with alcohol poisoning 😑 I swear it's like once every 2 pages AT LEAST. God, why is this book so highly rated???

I am not super loving this 😐 feels like such a "dude" book. Book club picked this out for book of the month, otherwise would've probably never read this on my own... only one of the POV characters is actually interesting, and text is peppered with many Norse words that you don't know what they mean and it's not explained and it's kind of annoying. hopefully it picks up. 😅
