it's not like we didn't already know henry viii was a huge asshole but. 😬 he's such an asshole that i'm embarrassed for him. like i was born 400 years after he died and yet i'm embarrassed to have lived on the same planet as him. if aliens ever visited earth i would be covering up all evidence of him. I have to go to bed or I'll die of regret tomorrow but one very unexpected thing about this is that I don't think I've ever read a book where so much puking happened. I feel so bad for everyone here for that reason alone.

all right so maybe i started complaining too soon but i still don't think this should have been a trilogy at all. the first book was nearly perfect and didn't need a sequel let alone two. but dammit i am enjoying it anyway.

so far the only fun and/or interesting thing about this book is that one of the main characters is an annoying billionaire who thinks he is so much better and smarter and more competent than everyone else and yet he is currently creating a cover up that has so so so many holes in it

i try not to outright reject books simply due to them being romance (im reading this for a work project [i work at a library]) but boy howdy. i do not like romance.

my coworker at the library pulled this off the shelf, thrust it into my hands and told me i had to read so i gave it a shot despite thinking it wasn't quite my cup of tea... but i am having a Great Time actually!!!

now why did my clown arachnophone ass not realize that, when i decided i'd finally read some adrian tchaikovsky, that i was picking up the spider people book smh

the humour of this book is greatly underrated tbh. girl makes convoluted plan to annoy her brother and then everyone she meets makes it 10 times more convoluted. i just know she's tired.
