A bit confused in some parts because many of the things he claims are Liverpool culture is very common where I’m from and I’m wondering if he’s mixing up working class culture with Liverpool-only or something. “We say-“ yeah so does everyone else I know and I’ve never been to Liverpool nor has anybody I know ?? Amazon is so random because why do they just change the edition you’ve bought. When I bought this last year it was the edition I’m on on Goodreads rn. But now I check my library and it’s just a different edition now. Like ok.

This book is very Americanised I have no idea how they’ve even achieved this in a book about the British Empire. Why are so many books written by American authors written with the assumption that the readers are also American. Very sad
