Loving the book so far. Added bonus: it takes place in Vineland, NJ, with which I have some familiarity.

I have to return this to the library (no renewals since someone is waiting to read it). I am in the middle of a story that is composed of synopses of every episode of Law & Order: SVU. I have seen the show once or twice, but not enough to know how much of it is fact or fiction. I’ll be reading Wikipedia next to figure that out, haha.

I started reading this a long time ago and didn’t get too far before I had to return the book, but was always interested. I recently got the book on CDs made it to the 9th disc of 12 before I had to return it. Will get it next month again and finish it up. I had forgotten what a Bible it must be for locavores.

I listened on audio book and thought it would be funnier to hear it from Al himself. His sense of humor is so dry, I am not sure that made a difference.

Book is good; have to return it to the library. To be picked up later on.

Fantastic collection of stories!

I only read the prologue and first chapter before handing it off to a friend, but I am completely intrigued by Suki Kim's story of teaching in North Korea.

I don't know how she is going to wrap this up in 250 pages, but I am excited to find out!

Loving this prose poem-like book that describes many characters who live in a small town on the coast of Oregon that contains a surprising number of Irish families & resplendent with overtones of Native American mysticism.

Had to return it to the Library. Too many other books to read at the moment and this one seemed depressing, so I have tabled it for now.

I have read this book at least half a dozen times and am re-reading it yet again. It is my go-to book when stressed (during finals, preparing for my thesis defense, etc.). I still love it after all these years.

More than 10%! Starting to get into this. Having a little trouble with the writing style.

Yikes! Third time I have gotten this book out of the library and the third time I have to return it unread. Time to buy an electronic version!

Wow, not making it through this one. I have book club tonight, so if I am inspired, I will finish, but if not, I am willing to file not finishing this book under the category of Life is Too Short.

This book is slow-going! More rambling sentences I never did see.
