My 2026 reading goal was multi faceted: Read at least 50 books (done), at least 25 of which needed to be novels or nonfiction (done), diversify genres (done...ish. I explored horror, romance, and poetry.) and now I'm taking advantage of finishing my 50 ahead of schedule to tackle my long-outstanding WTR.

Ahh yes, I need a brief break from the emotional gut punch of a post apocalyptic satire, so I'll reread a few of the child space war series, no big deal.

This is probably the first year I've been so excited about so many new releases since 2016.

I may have taken a picture book break while reading Shift because I am SMAD.

Apparently I skipped Robin's book! My boy! My son!

I confess one of these is a hate read. I'm sure you'll figure out which one.

I found out there's a graphic novel series of my favorite childhood series. It's over for all of you. I'm about to be insufferable.

Our children's librarian practices her storytime books on us, and they absolutely count IMO.

I thought I'd read the Tea Dragon books already, and had only finished the first one when I did it for a book club! So now I get to revisit this adorable art on a rainy week. :)

I am shamelessly going through my Libby and Hoopla wishlists looking for the shortest books to cross off my TBR.

I remember reading some of Heartstopper but never logged it, I guess, so I'm doing a reread since I finished season 2 recently.
