A substantial tome, but one I will take my time working through. Fascinating!

Two-thirds of the way through this book. I find the story haunting. The fact that Irena Sendler risked her life to save 2,500 Jewish children from a Polish getto, and that her story is largely unknown saddens me greatly. How many other stories are out there that are unknown?

This book is going to be good!

About 2 thirds of the way though and our library loan expired! Back in a hold pattern and anxiously awaiting the chance to see how this ends. (Yes, I know how it ends....)

I'm on Chapter 5 of this book and have had to be away from reading it for over two days. I can't stop thinking about the characters and what is happening in their lives. I didn't realize how much this story would haunt and stay with me. Always the best sign of a great book.

I have lost count of the number of times I've already laughed out loud with this book.

I'm getting dangerously close to the end of this book and I'm already starting to be sad that it's going to end.

I'm approximately 45% of the way through this book and it is painfully slow to develop my interest. But several people have reviewed it favorably, so I will press on.

I just started this book and I already know it's going to be a good one to read.

I am just starting into this book. It is an award winner and the reviews are promising. I am a little daunted that the audio version that I am starting is 29 hours and 33 minutes long. So, since I will be spending well over one full day of my life with this author's work, I am praying that it will be worth the time needed to finish it.

I'm enjoying this book very much. I think it's going to be a really interesting read.

I love this series and usually get lost in the audio versions because the narrator sounds beautifully Italian. Sadly, this is an early audio release and I'm having to listen to a different narrator speak in a 'dumb thug' & 'strong New York' voice. None of which flow with the story line of the book.

I'm two-thirds of the way through this book and my increasing dislike for the author is making it very hard not to stop reading.

I only just got started with this book. I'm about 1/4 of the way through and it needs to be said, I LOVE this book!!!

I'm so glad that I checked Goodreads reviews on this book, before starting to read it. Based on the book jacket one would think that that story's main focus was Julia Child. She is woven into the story but the main focus is another female intelligence officer. Knowing this up front, I've reset my expectations and find that the information presented in the story is fascinating.

Having recently read Walter Isaacson's book on Einstein, I'm really excited to learn about Steven Hawking's brilliance.

The beginning is disjointed and I was tempted to stop reading it. But other reviews said that it gets better. I'm now in the 'better' part of the book.

I love this man! So complex and yet somewhat simple in his approach to life.

There was more to Einstein than a theory.

So far, simply amazing!

Yea, I just got this back from the library and now I can finish it!

I'm dying here. I'm listening to this on audio book with 9 discs. Halfway through disc 7 the audio would not play. I've returned it to the library and now must wait for a working copy to become available.
