I REALLY want to like this book, but I'm not enjoying the writing style. I frequently drift off and miss what's happening. I've had to repeatedly relisten to parts of the story. It's been a slog to get through. I strongly prefer the Broadway play & movie.

I love the Broadway musical, so I wanted to read the book. I'm not vibing with it. Most of the time, I don't know what is going on. It sucks because I really want to love it.
