What a delight this is so far.

The exchanges between Caeden and the Venerate are some of my favourite moments. So painful, so bittersweet, to have the friends you love be your enemies. They both believe so strongly that they are doing the right thing and are on the side of what’s right. I love love love how this book depicts the antagonists.

Rereading this after seeing the tv show (and just finished rereading all the Raksura books). I never did read the other ones, so let’s correct that mistake!

Oh. My. God. Did you just- you did. I am not okay.

NOOO! NO NO NO! STOP KILLING CHARACTERS I LIKE OH MY GOD. Two of them in ten pages?! Can we not?!

…fucking hell. That was… very violent. Jesus.

We’re finally getting some answers! I have a lot of questions still but I can see the light. Very curious about the whole Boundary and El situation that Tal’kamar was involved with. And what happened to the Venerate. It’s getting harder to tell who the good guys really are or who is being deceived.

There is so much information given in every chapter my brain is a little overwhelmed. Curious and excited but also so confused. Isiliar, Vhalire, the Nethgalla, the things we know happen in the future, the memories from the past, I feel like I get more and more questions and no answers! Mysteries everywhere! I am enjoying it very much but I hope everything starts making more sense soon.

Being back at Suus is both the best and worst thing ever, every time they mention Vis’s family I’m either crying or filled with so much anger. Damn but this book is good.

This is getting intense.
