Been a while since I read a story in this one, but I'm finishing it this year. I am. So, to motivate myself, let's actually update my progress! So far, I've read the first 25 stories. Unsurprisingly I've enjoyed myself, so time to keep going!

I'm so excited to have started this! Initial impression after reading the prelude and prologue is positive. I'll be reading this one slowly though, while I read other books, so we'll see how long it takes me👀

Am I just blind, or how am I supposed to get to the overview of the books I read in my past reading challenges? Before, I could just click on the RC I wanted to see and view all the books, but now no matter which RC Year I press I am always taken to the most recent one

Not gonna lie, I'm not liking Vin. She talks a big game about trust for someone who doesn't seem to know its meaning or is capable of listening to those who know better. She feels like a bit of a hypocrite

Wanted to finish this before the end of 2022, but lol, that was *not* going to happen sooo, new plan: finish The Count this first week of 2023, because I've gotten new books I want to read and I don't want to be in the middle of so many books at once. Time to tackle the Currently-Reading pile!

I've gotten 150 pages into The Count of Monte Cristo. I've tasked myself within finishing the rest of the 1,050 pages before the end of the year. Wish me luck.

Only 15 pages in and there are already a lot of interesting, powerful reflections. I have a feeling this little book will be both painful and thought-provoking.

Halfway through and I've already cried twice🙃

"Reid's writing is addictive and all-consuming." Jill Santopolo is correct. I really love the way TJR writes. And I love that this basically reads like a true autobiography😍

Someone tell me if people really do mention the person they're talking to's name over and over again when they're having a conversation..

"Thanks, Travis."
"(...) person, Travis."
"That would be great, Travis."
"You too, Travis."

From one uninterrupted in-person conversation, between only two characters, across 2 pages. And this happens *all* the time. Is it necessary??

I started by reading the Manga Edition, and when I loved that one I tried the abridged version, and now – after loving the short version of this story – I'm diving into the full length original version of this book. And I'm already SO excited about this brick of a book!

I've lost count of the number of times I've had tears run down my face already 🥲

Ouuffff.. that chapter might be the most brutal one to get through.. 🤧

· My big Re-Read Year: allow myself to re-read as many books I want.

· Additionally, finish at least two unread books each month. Preferably I'll average more, but I won't force it – slumps are not worth it.

If I'm supposed to like the friend, Rosie... I really don't. Don't much care for Aaron either at this point. It'll be interesting to see how this is meant to turn around

After the enormous disappointment of the third book I've been putting this off, but I want this series over with so... please don't let me down at the final sprint 🙏

I'm literally flying through this book and it feels so *good* 🤩

I didn't think *funny* would be one of the words I'd be using to describe this book so far 😆

Does it every just randomly hit you... how great books are... how cool it is to dive into new stories and get to live in worlds and meet characters that other people have invented and decided to share with the world...

... ugh, I love books 🥰

I'm loving this, and they haven't even left the Shire yet^^

Tolkien's writing is really pleasant... I feel like I'm really being told a story by someone in the know rather than reading it by myself, if that makes sense? I'm unsurprised that I'm a Big Fan of this book already, but I'm happy about just how much I'm enjoying it when I've barely taken a step into it yet
