A decent into madness? A genuine haunting?
The writing is dragging on a bit too long with repetition and no real story progress, but I'm invested just enough to push through.

The story starts rolling right at the start and has kept me interested so far. One issue is that each chapter is a different character, though they are well marked, it is slightly annoying. At least 8 characters have been thrown at the reader, I'm not saying it's confusing, as so far, it's been well done but I worry it will start to be messy. This style can be used to hide a bad story from a reader til too late.

Good but I feel like more should have happened in the plot by now...

So far, it's setting up to be a pretty basic cut and paste mystery. Characters with past traumas that continue to affect their everyday living and breathing. The mysterious trauma causing the character to rethink their career path that I'm sure we'll find out is just what they were born to do. We can't forget the addition of a romantic partner that picks the worst time to get emotionally demanding and pouty.

Enjoying this read so far, it seems to fall into most abuse/escape/fight books & movies but I have faith in Chevy Stevens that there will be more to it than the norm.
