Now we just spent an entire chapter having him judge Sierra for her own THREE DRINK night; whole simultaneously flirting, kissing her at the same party as he's sober? This guy sucks and is probably dangerous for women to be around.

Okay, here's some genuine criticism:

I REALLY hate when books information dump in chapter one. Here, Dylan has already told us in five pages his career path, his school, his rival school, the fact that he's wealthy and missed out on the Ivy League, the drama with his parents, the drama with having stayed in school vs attend the draft, the drugs he did the night before, that he's banging his friends sister, etc

This is worse than tacky cliches. I'm not convinced this person has ever been to a college party before; let alone a college hockey game. Expectations are quite low.

This is a very sophomoric intro to a novel. The title starts with a toxic workplace-dynamic so we're at two strikes early. Not the book's fault on my last irk; but the audiobook narrator is brutally miscast.
