Hmmm… halfway through and I’m not sure this is fairing any better than the other two. The novel within a novel structure is just handled with too much clunkiness.

Once more into the breach. I loved the TV adaptations of The Magpie Murders and The Moonflower Murders. Each time, I read the book after the fact and was rather underwhelmed. They’re not bad, they’re just not as good as their respective adaptations. As yet though, this one hasn’t been made into a series… so maybe I’ll enjoy it more…?
