Andrea is on page 100 of 304 of Unmasking Autism: Discovering the New Faces of Neurodiversity
First the author is self diagnosed and not an actual clinician, which in itself is a problem. I think if Price actually did get an assessment done he would have narcissistic and socipathic traits. Self diagnosis is good initially, but you need an official diagnosis otherwise it's just a theory and I do NOT agree because from our own human perspective we are inherently biased. Autism is not a label anyone can just use

Andrea is on page 100 of 328 of The Loss of a Pet: A Guide to Coping with the Grieving Process When a Pet Dies
I am deeply mourning the loss of my animal family member, my cat Rocky, my sweet baby boy. I was and still am profoundly attached to him. This grief is unlike anything I have ever experienced before and that is saying a lot. I have gone through immense trauma and loss throughout my life and nothing compares to this. This book is helping me immensely during this time and I am grateful for the author's words.

"In a few years, when all the old people who went through the Tsar's prisons are dead, no one among the seventy million citizens of the Union will be able to imagine what freedom of thought is. People will have to be crazy in order to escape the fixed ideas stamped on their brains by mechanical stencils."

"Ideaology fears and hates that the writing of dangerous books is the result of a free venture of intelligence; but what ideology also wants to burn and negate is the History of free intelligence, and writing is both its signifier and its sign."

Soooo tempted to not finish by my pride won' allow it... the unrealistic dialogue is grating to say the least, in particular the fact that there is an overuse of using each other's names when speaking.

Ex:) "Lyle I believe you..."

"They believe you, Lyle.."

"All of it matters, Lyle"

This isn't even all of them, but even half. Same conversation from the character occurring on one page. It's driving me crazy

I don't know what to think about this book at this point... the female lead character is really irritating, the whole book has a very pretentious and stuffy air about it, and although it takes place in Mexico, rarely any Mexicans are actually characters in the book. Juan Cerillo was the most interesting character so far, the author at most dedicated a couple of paragraphs about him.
