I wish others could see the cover I have - it is in sky-blue, with the protagonist in the foreground and both part of a castle and skyscrapers in the background. It makes so much more sense than the fantasy 'tent' pictures on most of the covers, considering it's a novel about time-travel.

I bought this new in 2005 (with a completely different cover to the one shown, even though it shares the same ISBN - what a pity I can't add it, I think it is beautiful and more realistic). I don't know why, but I just didn't read it then. I think it is finally time, considering that it has been 21 years since I bought it...

Not as easy to get into as 'Shades of Grey', but I'm hoping I'll be fine once I'm immersed fully into this world of Thursday Next's.

I'm loving this already!!! Who could not love a first line like: 'My father had a face that could stop a clock.'?
