This book is so revealing. Maud & I are/were very similar, with some of the same issues, seasonal affective disorder, & how we experience/experienced the writing process. I may not have lost my parents young, but other than that, very similar. There's been times today when I've said 'no way!' in amazement of the similarities. We even have/had the same eye colour AND she was born just 2 days from 100 years before me!

Having worked in bookshops, I love this! I wish I could hold on to this book once I've read it but I've promised to move it on to someone else after me. Long Live Bookshops!!!

I so wish she had written an autobiography, or at least hadn't burnt her diaries...

Wow this is a struggle...I'm keeping on going for my Book Club...

Hmmm. I'm struggling so far. Fancy three male characters all with names that start with the letter 'F'...tricky...

Ah damn. I was so close to finishing this but I'm so tired I'm going to have to go to bed now...
