This is just an issue with the audiobook, but go ahead and ask me how I feel about the NEW YORKERS not having any discernible accent while the GEORGIANS all speak like they’ve got mouthfuls of molasses. Surprised to hear this “othering” of the South in a book by a Georgia author and Alabama native. Oh, and while we’re chatting about that, let’s discuss how the narrator keeps mispronouncing Dahlonega.
