The current narrator is going on about the gravel and how it is bad and I’m sorry but I’m about to lose my mind.

So far, my biggest impression is that Nevill probably hates both fat people and women. Such a groundbreaking take. 🙄

When I started this book, I really didn’t expect to cry. But, damn, it’s well-written.

HOW IS THIS BOOK OUT OF PRINT??? It’s so good! I’m loving it so far!!! I can’t afford to drop $500 on a used copy on eBay!!!

This is just an issue with the audiobook, but go ahead and ask me how I feel about the NEW YORKERS not having any discernible accent while the GEORGIANS all speak like they’ve got mouthfuls of molasses. Surprised to hear this “othering” of the South in a book by a Georgia author and Alabama native. Oh, and while we’re chatting about that, let’s discuss how the narrator keeps mispronouncing Dahlonega.

Idk how I’m going to find a book that tops this one this year. Amazing so far. Love the narrator for the audiobook as well.
