I like how hooks gives us a very specific definition of love at the beginning and then proceeds to not use it in line with that definition for the rest of the book

incredibly upsetting and i'm only a third into this book

I'm on a mission to finish all the books I abandoned in order to reach my reading goal and this book is the one I've been dreading.... I think what irritates me about this book is that hooks is just so pessimistic about people and society as a whole it makes me sad
