I think the only reason I haven't given up this book is because I am listening to it and the narrators have slight Scottish brogues. So far, the male protagonist is a ball of anxious insecurity and the female protagonist is resentful and sullen.

I'm okay with character development but it's entirely cheerless so far.

There's a big honkin' glaring error in the first couple of pages. This bodes ill.

I am not loving this. I like it okay. It's kind of reminds me of the Jeaniene Frost series. I like the heroine, the dialogue is snappy enough but the vampires. The vampires!
If there are so few drawbacks to vampirism wouldn't everybody already be one? I kept thinking that same thought during every Cat and Bones book until I stopped reading them. I imagine that I will finish this book but not continue the series.

This book is making me dreadfully unhappy. Going to skip to the end.
