So far, paying people actually reduces performance when more creative thinking is involved, which sounds like this would be reason for not paying people or not paying them extra to do meaningful work... How does this benefit anyone except large corporations, bosses, etc.? Next, pay people extra to do routine work to make up for the person's boredom and lack of creativity? I am thoroughly confused by all of this.
