I had to laugh out loud at this, as it seems like this book was mocking me: reading this first line on my 40th birthday in the waiting room of the doctor I'm seeing because my anxiety disorder has been debilitating lately, (presumably) largely due to my fear of the encroachment of middle age...AKA: 40.

I am thrilled to get my hands on this. Hosting Garth Nix in my store, getting to chat with him, make his latte, and fangirl all over him was the highlight of my bookselling career. I need this book in the worst way.

I am definitely at the call-in-sick-ignore-my husband-forget-to-feed-the-kids point in this book. I hope that tomorrow's cruddy forecast will afford me the opportunity to finish it!

I am beyond thrilled that the library had this ready to lend on release day. This is one of those final volumes I've been craving for months! I didn't have much time with it yesterday, but I can't wait to really dig in tonight.
